Some adjectives take the preposition a which answers the questions: towards what? in relation to what? suitable for what?

Adjectives describing inherent suitability, preparation, or predisposition for a specific purpose, action, or role.

atto a / idoneo a / adatto a: fit for, suitable for.
- È un terreno atto alla coltivazione.
- (It is land fit for cultivation.)
pronto a: ready for/to.
- Sono pronto a partire.
- (I am ready to leave.)
buono a: good for (often practical/useful value).
- Questo coltello è buono a tagliare il pane.

disposto a: willing to.
- Non sono disposto a scendere a compromessi.

inclino a / propenso a: inclined to, prone to (often for behaviors/tendencies).
