La mia materia preferita a scuola è la geografia. Mi piace molto perché è come fare un viaggio intorno al mondo senza muoversi dall’aula. Con la geografia studio i diversi paesi, le loro capitali, i fiumi, le montagne e i climi. Trovo affascinante scoprire come vivono le persone in altre parti del mondo: cosa mangiano, che lingue parlano e quali sono le loro tradizioni. Adoro guardare l’atlante e le mappe colorate. La mia parte preferita è quando usiamo il computer per vedere le foto dei luoghi che studiamo, come le spiagge del Brasile o i deserti dell’Africa. L’insegnante è molto brava e ci racconta storie interessanti sui posti che studiamo. Inoltre, la geografia mi aiuta a capire meglio le notizie che sento in televisione. Quando sento parlare di un paese, so già dov’è e qual è la sua bandiera. Per tutti questi motivi, la lezione di geografia è sempre quella che aspetto con più piacere durante la settimana.

My favorite subject
My favorite subject in school is geography. I like it a lot because it’s like taking a trip around the world without leaving the classroom. With geography, I study different countries, their capitals, rivers, mountains, and climates. I find it fascinating to discover how people live in other parts of the world: what they eat, what languages they speak, and what their traditions are. I love looking at the atlas and the colorful maps. My favorite part is when we use the computer to see photos of the places we study, like the beaches of Brazil or the deserts of Africa. The teacher is very good and tells us interesting stories about the places we study. Furthermore, geography helps me better understand the news I hear on television. When I hear about a country, I already know where it is and what its flag looks like. For all these reasons, geography class is always the one I look forward to the most during the week.
