L’accento / The stress mark

Italian accents are usually not placed on the letters however, it is necessary to mark them in the following cases:

a). When it falls on the last syllable (on vowels):

b). When the meaning of certain monosyllable words changes depending on whether there is a stress mark or not:

né non ho né fame né setenene ho fumate cinque
séla porta con sésenon so se tornerò
sìha detto di sìsioggi non si lavora

làvado làlala verità non offende
